Meet Rochelle: The Hands Behind Every TERNO
Babylyn BuchanBehind every TERNO by TCG piece is a story of dedication, community, and heritage—and Rochelle is at the heart of it.
Rochelle is a Lumban-based artisan who has worked with TERNO by TCG since the very beginning. Through her passion and commitment, she helped us truly understand that every Barong and TERNO is more than a garment—it is a collective work of art shaped by many skilled hands.

What many don’t see is the process behind each piece. At least eight artisans are involved in creating a single Barong or TERNO, from fabric preparation and design stamping to embroidery, cutting, and finishing. Every step reflects patience, collaboration, and traditions passed down through generations.
Those who have watched our short documentary “Segunda Pulo: Filipino Heritage Behind Artisans’ Hands” may recognize Rochelle. During her interview, she spoke with sincerity and pride about their craft. Even more inspiring was the support of Barangay Segunda Pulo—a community where Barong and Filipiniana making is a shared livelihood and a shared responsibility.
In Lumban, Laguna, craftsmanship is never done alone. It truly takes a village to create something meaningful.
When you wear TERNO, you wear the stories, culture, and hands of the artisans who made it possible - Rochelle is one of them.
