Emilio Jacinto, born in Tondo, Manila, was one of the highest-ranking officers in the Philippine Revolution and the Katipunan movement. He served as the advisor on fiscal matters and secretary to Andrés Bonifacio and was later known as Utak ng Katipunan ("Brain of Katipunan"). Emilio Jacinto also wrote for the Katipunan newspaper called Kalayaan under the pen name "Dimasilaw", and used the alias "Pingkian" in the Katipunan.
The Emilio Jacinto Barong is made with a linen fabric, embroidered and handtailored in Lumban, Laguna. This short sleeves brong features a subtle bamboo like embroidery design and is available in two colors - white linen with white embroidery and black linen with black embroidery.
