“Abel” is the Ilocano word for weave, and “inabel” is interpreted to mean any kind of woven fabric by the Ilocanos.
This TERNO features the INABEL fabric where the weaving technique has been perfected by the Ilocos weavers over the years. INABEL holds a profound significance today as it preserves centuries-old designs and patterns that depict the lives and culture embedded into the very fabric of the region's indigenous weaving tradition.
With red and white coloured threads, this weaving design is called “Kabayo” meaning “horse".
